Najee Harris is part of Alabama's impressive stable of running backs. He hasn't been able to do much running lately though.
Harris is working through a foot injury and has been put in a cast. Alabama fans shouldn't worry though, according to Nick Saban.
Saban told the media today that Harris' foot problem is "minor" and that the team anticipates having him for the season opener against Louisville.
As a true freshman last year, Harris rushed for 370 yards and three touchdowns on 61 carries. The onetime five-star recruit provided a major boost in the national championship game against Georgia.
In that contest, Harris rushed for a team-high 64 yards on six carries. His output came after receiving only six total carries in Alabama's previous five games.
Harris, along with Damien Harris, Josh Jacobs and Brian Robinson Jr., will be one of the top backfields in America this year. The Crimson Tide are loaded at the running back position.
Alabama opens its 2018 season against Louisville on Sept. 1.
