Oklahoma's five-star quarterback recruit, Spencer Rattler, has reacted to Jalen Hurts' decision to transfer into the program.

Hurts, the Alabama backup quarterback, announced on The Players' Tribune his decision to move to the Sooners.

The former Alabama quarterback will be eligible to play right away in 2019 and he's expected to start behind center.

Hurts chose Oklahoma over Miami and Maryland, among other programs.

Spencer Rattler, a five-star quarterback recruit committed to the Sooners, has reacted to the news.

"I love it. Jalen is a great player and I’m excited to get to play with him. It’ll be great competition for sure," he said.

Rattler had previously been told by Oklahoma's Lincoln Riley that he wasn't taking any transfer quarterbacks.

That comment, though, was likely in response to the rumors surrounding Justin Fields, who has three seasons of eligibility left (and transferred to Ohio State).

Hurts' arrival to Oklahoma shouldn't impact the future of Rattler, since the Alabama quarterback will be in Norman for just one season.
