Alabama is 10-0 right now and well on its way to a third straight BCS National Championship. It has been another ridiculously dominant season for the Crimson Tide, and a major reason for that success is signal-caller AJ McCarron. McCarron has never received the hype or accolades that many other quarterbacks across the nation often do, but what he certainly doesn’t lack is a football resume — he’s already one of the greatest winners in the college game.
This week, he has the honor of appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated — he is part of a feature titled ‘King Crimson’, which wonders if we need to start thinking of him as one of the best college football players of all time:

It’s a fair question — McCarron has been a true leader on a dynasty-level team for years. He hasn’t always been the most talented player on the squad, but he handles things the right way, and his career numbers are going to be nothing to sneeze at when it’s all said and done here. In fact, he’s recently been popping up into the Heisman discussion, which would certainly alter his legacy significantly.
We’ll leave it up to you — do you think McCarron is one of the best to ever play the college game?
