The SEC has been absolutely incredible in football in recent years, but despite the on-field success, the conference is having serious attendance problems. Not only are fans not showing up in the same numbers as they were previously, but fans who do attend the games, particularly the students, are leaving early.
The issue is getting so bad that two weeks ago Alabama, the program that gives fans exactly what they want -- a dominating team -- had to launch a "Play For 4, Stay For 4" campaign. Today, the school actually gave the student body a visual reminder on their seats that they should stay for four quarters:
Must be pretty hard to endure all that success, apparently.
