Report: Alabama Defensive Coordinator Kirby Smart Is The "Only Choice" For Georgia

On Sunday, Georgia fired longtime head coach Mark Richt. According to ESPN's Mark Schlabach, there isn't a ton of drama about who will replace him. Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, a Georgia alumnus, is thought to be the main contender for the job.

Herman was said to have interest in the Georgia job after Richt was let go. When the coaching carousel starts spinning, nothing is certain until it is announced by the team or the coach, but if Georgia wants Smart, it seems like a safe bet that it will get him.
