Alabama Fans Not Happy With Hit On QB Tua Tagovailoa

Tua Tagovailoa takes a scary hit in the end zone on a touchdown run for Alabama vs. Ole Miss.

Tua Tagovailoa just set another Alabama record. The superstar quarterback scrambled to score the team's second touchdown of the day, to put the Crimson Tide up 14-10 on Ole Miss.

Earlier in the game, he found Devonta Smith on a slant that the receiver broke for a 74-yard touchdown. Those two scores put him at 81 for his Alabama career, in just his second year as starter, breaking a record by AJ McCarron.

That second touchdown wasn't without a scary moment, though. A few yards into the end zone, Tua took a big hit from a pair of Ole Miss defenders.

Another, closer look at the hit on Tua Tagovailoa:

Luckily he is okay, flexing after absorbing the hit on the score.

Alabama has the ball back, and just hit Smith for another big gain of 45 yards. Still, you never want to see your quarterback take a shot like that, especially with how Tua's played so far in his college career.

As you can imagine, Alabama fans were none too happy with the play:

Ole Miss has given Alabama trouble in the past, winning back-to-back games against the Crimson Tide in 2014-15 under Hugh Freeze. Matt Luke, in his third year as head coach, could really use a signature win like this. His Rebels are hanging tough, even with starting quarterback Matt Carrol out for the game.

Tua Tagovailoa has been near-perfect though.

So far, he is 11-for-12 for 153 yards and a touchdown, and scored from one yard out on that run. If Ole Miss can't find a way to disrupt him a bit, this score won't be close for long.
