Verne Lundquist To Serve As College GameDay Guest Picker For Alabama vs. Texas A&M

Verne Lundquist is stepping down from calling college football for CBS at the end of the season. This weekend, he'll be on the call for Alabama vs. Texas A&M in Tuscaloosa. On Saturday morning, he'll be on ESPN as the College GameDay guest picker.

ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit announced that he, Lee Corso, and company will be joined by the long-time play-by-play man.

Lundquist will be replaced by former ESPN announcer Brad Nessler, who was poached by CBS a few weeks before the announcement that Verne would be calling his final season this year.

Alabama and Texas A&M are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET from Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide are huge 19-point favorites in the match-up of the remaining SEC West undefeated teams. Lundquist will be on the call for CBS, joined by partner Gary Danielson.
