Alabama's hire of Avery Johnson is already paying big dividends on the recruiting trail. Johnson just landed his first player of the 2016 class, shooting guard Terrance Ferguson out of Tulsa, who is the first five-star player to choose the Crimson Tide since Devonta Pollard in 2012. Ferguson, whose finalists also included powerhouses Kansas, Louisville, and North Carolina, made his decision in a very cool video for Rivals.com.
In the video, Ferguson thanks his family and goes through the various finalists in his recruitment, before throwing down some impressive dunks. At the end, it is revealed that he is wearing a Roll Tide shirt. Football season is right around the corner, but with Johnson at the helm, Alabama fans have a reason to get excited about hoops as well.
