The nation's best available dual-threat quarterback in the 2015 recruiting class announced where he will be playing college football today.
Blake Barnett, a four-star prospect rated the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback in the nation, according to 247Sports.com's composite rankings, pledged to play for Nick Saban in a video with Bleacher Report.
Barnett recently de-committed from Notre Dame. It was reported that his decision had come down to the Crimson Tide and Oregon.
The 6-foot-4, 193-pound quarterback is from Corona, Calif. Many expected him to commit to Oregon, but he recently visited Tuscaloosa and his mind was swayed.
"He had a really good visit and a great visit with the staff," Jeff Steinberg, Barnett's high school coach, told AL.com. "Coach Saban has a great plan and his process in terms of how he develops the overall athlete and young man for later on in life is outstanding."
Barnett had a scholarship offer from nearly every school in the country.
