Three weeks, and one surprising loss, into the season, and Alabama's quarterback situation is still somewhat unsettled. Jake Coker and Cooper Bateman split snaps against Ole Miss on Saturday, but neither truly set himself apart in the loss. Bateman got the start against Ole Miss, and was the more efficient thrower, completing 11-of-14 throws for 87 yards, but he also threw an early interception. Coker only totaled 201 yards on 21-of-45 throwing, and was picked off twice, but he also connected on three touchdowns, and impressed with his legs, rushing for 58 yards and a score on seven carries.
During his Monday press conference, Saban complimented Coker, and said that he thinks that he will start this Saturday's game against Louisiana-Monroe.

The Warhawks shouldn't pose quite the challenge that Rebels did on Saturday. With a good performance, Coker can take a big step in finally locking up the starting job.
