Jalen Hurts enrolled at Alabama in January, but he’s already at a college level in the weight room. The true freshman quarterback also took part on his high school’s powerlifting team, and in a new video posted by AL.com, Hurts shows off his impressive strength from while he was still in high school. Most notable: the 210-pound Hurts knocks out a few 500-pound squats with relative ease.
Hurts is the youngest quarterback on Alabama’s campus, but he’s involved in the four-way battle for the starting spot, along with Blake Barnett, Cooper Bateman, and David Cornwell. If he loses the job, it definitely won’t be because he’s behind in the weight room.
