Arkansas RB Devwah Whaley Says He Will Be With Team After Reported Fight With Teammate

Rumors of a fight within the Arkansas football team have swirled around the internet this afternoon.

Earlier today, Barstool Sports's Arkansas Twitter account tweeted that rumors were going around that starting running back Devwah Whaley had suffered a broken jaw.

Replies to the tweet detailed an alleged fight between Whaley and a teammate, which resulted in the supposed injury.

Whaley took to Twitter to address the rumor, and says that he will be with the team as it travels to Texas to face Texas A&M.

It should be noted that Whaley never says that he will play in the game, or denies that a fight took place.

SEC Country reports that he was, in fact, involved in a fight with a teammate.

Arkansas running back Devwah Whaley was involved in a fight with a teammate, according to multiple sources close to the team.

It is unclear the extent of any injuries Whaley may have suffered. Additional sources say reports that Whaley suffered a broken jaw in the altercation are false.

Arkansas fans may have to wait to find out what Whaley's status is for the pivotal match-up with Texas A&M.

This season, he has 23 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown. The Razorbacks are 1-1 on the year.
