Sam Pittman is officially the new head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks. The former Georgia offensive line coach has plenty of work on his hands over the next few months.
Part of Pittman’s responsibilities moving forward is getting to know his team. Coaching transitions tend to cause plenty of players to consider transferring. Pittman has to try and convince the current players to stay.
It appears his coaching relationship with his players is off to a good start. The Razorbacks’ social media team released a video of Pittman’s first team meeting.
Check out the video in the tweet below.

As the tweet points out, Pittman’s message focused on three things: loyalty, love and communication. The newly hired Arkansas coach is clearly trying to establish a solid relationship with his players.
The Razorbacks are attempting to have a resurgence in the SEC after a few very tough years. Arkansas’ hiring of Pittman is a pretty surprising decision. But he does come from a prominent program which won plenty of games in the conference.
Pittman coached Georgia’s offensive line, which has been one of the best offensive lines in college football over the past few seasons. Pittman will try and bring that physicality back to Arkansas, hopefully helping the Razorbacks get back to winning in the process.
