Jeff Long Getting Into It With College Football Analysts Regarding Logistics Of 8-Team Playoff

While the move to a four-team playoff system has been lauded as an improvement over the former model, the BCS, there are still many in the industry who think eight is the right number of teams that should be playing for the national title. Saturday, College Football Playoff chairman Jeff Long got into it with a few media analysts, namely Dennis Dodd and Dan Wolken, regarding the logistics to such an event.

Long seems to believe that academics play a major role in why expansion is a problem for student-athletes. Dodd and Wolken offered numerous counterpoints to that theory. Here's a synopsis of the conversation, which was fascinating to watch play out.
