3-Star Wideout Maureese Wren Announces Decommitment From Arkansas

Arkansas lost a commitment on Friday.

3-star wide receiver Maureese Wren announced on Friday that he was decommiting from Arkansas in a post on Twitter.

"After praying and talking with my brothers and my dad I've decided that I am going to decommit from the University of Arkansas," Wren wrote. "It's been a tough decision but I feel this is the right decision for me. I'm sorry if I let any of you down, but I'm just doing what's best for me."

Wren, the No. 65 ranked athlete in the nation per 247 Sports, committed to the Razorbacks in early August to play as a linebacker.

He has additional offers from Air Force, Arizona, Baylor, Colorado, Illinois, Purdue, Utah and Washington—among several others.

With Wren's decommitment, that leaves the 2018 Arkansas recruiting class with just 11 total commits.
