Carlton Davis is heading to the NFL Draft.

Auburn cornerback Carlton Davis will skip his senior season and enter the 2018 NFL Draft, he announced Wednesday afternoon.

As a junior, Davis recorded 36 tackles, one interception and 11 pass breakups in 13 games for a 10-4 Auburn team. He missed the team's Peach Bowl loss to UCF with an illness.

“(Carlton) has been a model of consistency and played an important role in the success of our defense," said Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn.

Davis is the second Auburn star to declare for the draft this week, joining running back Kerryon Johnson yesterday.

Davis is a potential first-round pick in April's NFL Draft, and at the very least should go in the top three rounds.
