That's $250,000 well spent.

Storming the field (or court) is one of the best things about college sports, and when No. 6 Auburn took down No. 1 Alabama on Saturday, you knew it was coming.

Unfortunately, the SEC has forbidden the practice, and it announced just hours after the game that Auburn will be fined a hefty some for it—$250,000 in fact.

A quarter million dollars might seem like a lot to us, but to Auburn—a large public university—$250,000 is pocket change. They can afford a field-storming or 10. After taking down the Tide, paying a minuscule fine is probably the last thing on any Auburn administrator's mind right now.
