Auburn Hangs On, Beats FCS-Level Jacksonville State In Overtime

So much for a boring early slate this college football Saturday. The Auburn Tigers, the No. 6-ranked team in the nation, needed overtime to take care of FCS-level Jacksonville State. AU, which was out-gained by the Gamecocks 438-401, rallied from a seven-point deficit in the game's final minute to push the contest to an extra session.

After a four-yard touchdown run by sophomore running back Peyton Barber, Jacksonville State failed to match. The dream ended on an incompletion in the back of the end zone. Junior wideout Josh Barge caught the game's final pass, but he came down out-of-bounds. Check it out:

Auburn, now 2-0, travels to LSU next Saturday. The Tigers will need to play much better to hang with the (other) Tigers.
