Auburn Has Dismissed DE Elijah Daniel From The Team

Auburn defensive end Elijah Daniel was arrested mid-week on eight theft and burglary charges, and was suspended indefinitely by head coach Gus Malzahn. Tonight, Malzahn announced he had dismissed Daniel from the team.

As a sophomore in 2014, Daniel tied for the team lead with 17 quarterback hurries, adding 15 tackles and a sack. He's facing six felony charges so he has bigger things on his plate right now than football.
