Stephen Davis Jr. Has Decommitted From Father's Alma Mater Auburn

It was over a year ago that Stephen Davis Jr., son of former Auburn running back and three-time Pro Bowler Stephen Davis, committed to Auburn. It seemed like a safe bet that Davis would remain a Tiger commit, especially after he and his father took in the Kick Six in person. However, over the summer, Davis mentioned that he is considering Florida and Florida State, and today, he officially decommitted from Auburn.

Here is what Davis said about his recruitment over the some, via

"Right now, I just want to enjoy my recruitment," Davis Jr. said this summer. "I'm just trying to enjoy it when I can. You only get this thing one time and having this thing one time, you have to enjoy the moment.

Fair enough.

Davis is a four-star recruit, and ranked as the No. 6 player in South Carolina in the class of 2016. With his decommitment, Auburn's class ranks 17th overall, and seventh in the SEC.
