Earlier: Many Auburn fans already assumed that junior wideout Duke Williams, the top overall rated JUCO transfer from a year ago, would be leaving for the NFL after this season. Friday night, we learned that Williams' career could be finished before the 2014-2015 campaign even ends. Williams is reportedly not with the team ahead of its Outback Bowl contest against Wisconsin next week.

At the moment, it's unclear as to why Williams did not make the trip. According to Alex Byington of the Opelika-Auburn News, head coach Gus Malzahn will address the situation soon.
