Bruce Pearl's Show-Cause Penalty Ends, Picks Up Commit From 4-Star Horace Spencer After Visit

New Auburn basketball coach Bruce Pearl's show cause penalty ended at midnight, and during his first day of recruiting, he's landed a commitment from a pretty big-time recruit. Findlay Prep forward Horace Spencer spent his weekend at Auburn, and word of his commitment to the Tigers came out just about 12 hours after the end of Pearl's show cause expired.

Spencer is a top-10 power forward in his class, according to 247Sports, and had offers from UNLV, Georgetown, Iowa, Maryland, Memphis, and Oklahoma State, among others. Spencer becomes the second four-star forward in Auburn's class, joining Danjel Purifoy, who committed earlier in the week.
