Cam Newton Calls Auburn "Running Back U" After Cameron Artis-Payne Rips Big Run

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, who led his team to a Super Bowl berth in 2015, is one of the most successful signal-callers in the NFL these days. But he hasn't forgotten where he came from.

Monday, at Panthers practice, former Auburn running back Cameron Artis-Payne, who was drafted by Carolina in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, ripped off a big run. Newton reminded everyone that Artis-Payne is a former Auburn Tiger, and proclaimed the school "Running Back U."

Artis-Payne, in 2015, rushed for 183 yards and a touchdown on 45 attempts. We'll see if he plays a bigger role for the team in 2016.
