“Apparently Bryan Harsin installed a sign in the elevator of the athletics complex saying it’s for injured players only; everyone else has to take the stairs,” Tom Green of AL.com reported. “He wants that ‘blue collar mentality’ on his team, estimates he climbs the stairs ~18 times a day.”
Harsin is in his first year as the Tigers’ head coach and obviously wants to set the tone. However, given the latest reaction from fans on social media, he may have chosen the wrong approach.
Everyone on social media decided to have a little fun with the idea. Most of those who responded on Twitter suggested Harsin might not be long for his job.
Here’s some of the reaction from social media.
And here I thought the key to beating Alabama was getting good players. https://t.co/bEW7E4AO6V

Fans obviously aren’t loving the fact that Harsin is taking this approach. However, at the end of the day it’s his football program for the time being.
Harsin had a great career at Boise State, leading the Broncos to a 69-19 record during his seven seasons. He only failed to make a bowl game in his final season – which was impacted by the pandemic.
Can he bring that success to Auburn?
