Auburn announced on Friday that former Florida coach Will Muschamp will be the school’s next defensive coordinator. Muschamp previously held the position from 2006-2007 under former coach Tommy Tuberville, and helped coach up some of the best defenses in the country.
After his hiring was announced, current and former Auburn players took to Twitter to celebrate. The players all shared the same sentiment: the Tigers hit a home run by hiring Muschamp.
Expect a tough, physical, swarming defense in the near future!! Muschamp is back!! #AUFamily

It was announced during his introductory press conference that Muschamp won’t coach in the Tigers’ bowl game, so we’ll have to wait until the Tigers kick off the 2015 season on Sept. 5 against Louisville in Atlanta to see what he can do with Auburn’s defense.
