The first round of the NCAA Tournament is almost here, and one of the earlier games will feature Auburn and New Mexico State. With both programs consistently great at shooting from beyond the arc, it's possible this becomes a high-scoring affair.

When it comes to star power, the Tigers have two game-changing players in Jared Harper and Bryce Brown. In fact, these two guards were the key to Auburn winning the SEC Tournament.

On the flip side, the Aggies are a team full of depth and experience. While mid-majors aren't exactly loaded with superstar talent, upperclassmen like Eli Chuha and A.J. Harris should be ready for crunch time.

Although New Mexico State is familiar with the pressure that comes with March Madness, ESPN is rolling with Auburn for this showdown.

According to the matchup predictor, the Tigers have an 80.4 percent chance of advancing to the next round.

One of the more common upsets in basketball comes from this matchup, but it's hard to see the Tigers lose this early in the dance. After all, we've already seen them go toe-to-toe with top programs such as Tennessee and Kentucky.

Tipoff is set for 1:30 pm. ET from Salt Lake City, Utah.

If Auburn wins then it'll face either Kansas or Northeastern in the Round of 32.
