With the college football season nearing the end, a plethora of players around the country are exploring other options for next year. The latest player to enter the NCAA transfer portal is Auburn linebacker Michael Harris.
Auburn won the sweepstakes for Harris back in 2018. He was the No. 14 inside linebacker from his class, per 247Sports.
Harris had plenty of offers on the table during his initial recruitment, as Alabama and Georgia were also interested in the four-star linebacker.
After spending the past two seasons with the Tigers, Harris has decided to enter the transfer portal.
The news was first revealed on his Twitter account.
“First I’ll like to thank Auburn University and the coaching staff for everything they have done for me! Given me an opportunity to change my life and I’m thankful and blessed,” Harris wrote on Twitter. “I thought about my decision and however, I think it’s best for me to continue to move forward. I wish Auburn the best.”
Here’s the official announcement from Harris:

Harris certainly has the talent to play at a high level, but he just hasn’t seen the reps at Auburn.
It’s great to see that he remains on good terms with the Tigers. That being said, it makes sense for him to find a program where he can see time on the field.
