Gus Malzahn, Auburn Will Take Starting Quarterback Situation "Week-To-Week"

Redshirt freshman Sean White led Auburn to its first win since the Jacksonville State overtime debacle, but he hasn't quite done enough yet to lock in the starting quarterback job for good. White's numbers were fairly limited on Saturday against San Jose State—he was only 6-of-10 for 108 yards—but head coach Gus Malzahn seemed encouraged by the performance. He and offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee are still planning to take things week to week, however.

">October 3, 2015 has more:

Afterward, Malzahn was asked if White would be Auburn's quarterback for the trip to Kentucky on Oct. 15.

"I thought he competed; he did some good things," Malzahn said. "We'll take this thing week-to-week like we've been doing it. We're starting to kind of get good answers to the questions that we needed."

White took over for Jeremy Johnson, who struggled through three games to start the year. Auburn will attempt to pick up its first SEC win at Kentucky on October 15. We assume White will be under center, but only time will tell.
