Gus Malzahn "Very Disappointed" In Nick Marshall's Marijuana Citation, Will Address It "Accordingly"

It's not a surprise that Auburn head football coach Gus Malzahn is disappointed in quarterback Nick Marshall for his marijuana possession citation in Georgia yesterday. In a brief statement, Malzahn said that he will "address it with him accordingly," but did not elaborate on anything further.

"I am aware of the situation that happened earlier today with Nick. I'm very disappointed and I will address it with him accordingly," Malzahn's statement read.

No decision has been made about whether or not Marshall will still be one of Auburn's three representatives at SEC Media Days on Monday.

The program has been known to be very strict in its punishment of players for off the field issues, as Malzahn has kicked players off the team for marijuana related run-ins with the law. Marshall threw for 1,976 yards and 14 touchdowns last year, and added another 1,068 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.
