Outback Bowl Offering Free Bloomin' Onions, Coconut Shrimp Based On Game's Winner

For the third year in a row, Outback Steakhouse has put together a clever marketing plan to capitalize on the popularity of its New Year's Day bowl game. This year, the Auburn Tigers will be "Team Bloomin' Onion", while the Wisconsin Badgers will take "Team Coconut Shrimp." As was the case in years past, the appetizer associated with the winning team will be available for free on January 2. You'll just need to tell the waiter "Outback Bowl" to make it happen. Per Outback:

After the SEC’s LSU Tigers took home the trophy last year, Outback Steakhouse restaurants gave away more than 61,000 Bloomin’ Onions. To give an idea of how many Blooms that is, it’s the equivalent of 6,777 football fields!

Last year, LSU beat Iowa, 21-14. In 2013, South Carolina defeated Michigan. The Big Ten is still looking to produce its first "Coconut Shrimp" winner.

Who are you rooting for?
