Report: Auburn Hiring Alumnus Kodi Burns As Wide Receivers Coach

Update: Auburn has made it official. Burns is on as a co-offensive coordinator and receivers coach.

Earlier: On Sunday night, reports emerged that Auburn was targeting alumnus Kodi Burns to fill the wide receivers coach vacancy left by Dameyune Craig, who moved on to LSU. Now, according to Sports Illustrated's Thayer Evans, Burns will be returning to his alma mater, where he won a national championship in 2010.

Burns took a job at Arizona State as running backs coach just six weeks ago, after coaching at Middle Tennessee State last season. Unfortunately for the Sun Devils, it is hard to turn down a job at your alma mater.
