New coaches always go through steps to endear themselves to local fans, alumni, and students, but Auburn's Bruce Pearl has really taken it to another level. He moshed with Auburn students right off the plane when he arrived as coach, he went in a dunk tank for charity, and now he's ready to make any changes to student traditions that his fanbase wants.
In a new video, Pearl asks students whether or not they would like to keep "The Jungle" as the student section's name, and mentions that he will be inviting them to practice, as well as events to coordinate cheers and player introductions.
Pearl's appealing to students, he's recruiting incredibly well, and he appears to be doing all the right things as far as compliance goes. Auburn basketball fans have to be excited about the program.
