Former Florida Quarterback Chris Leak Being Investigated For Sexual Assault Of 16-Year Old

Chris Leak, the former national championship-winning quarterback at Florida, is under investigation for sexual assault of a 16-year old high school student.

Leak, who played at Florida from 2003-06 before stints in the NFL, CFL, and Arena Football, abruptly resigned as head football coach at Edgewater High School on Tuesday. This afternoon, the Orlando Sentinel reported that Leak is currently under investigation for sexual assault of a student at the school on September 5, which was reported on Monday.

The details of the allegation are disturbing:

Leak allegedly asked the girl to give him a massage. He came out from the shower wearing only a towel, the report said.

The girl told detectives that she massaged his back legs and he asked her to massage the front of his legs, the report said.

According to the report, the girl told detectives Leak then pulled her hands up to touch his genitals.

She told police her hand grazed his genitals a few times, according to the report.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Leak called the girl after she left and bought her food, and then paid $100 to a friend who she told about the incident.

Chris Leak resigned from his head coaching position on Monday night, according to Edgewater athletic director Janet Rasmussen. His Eagles team was 0-5 during his brief tenure with the school.

He has not been charged at this time.
