Danny Kanell loves taking jabs at Florida, and as part of a Mike & Mike segment, he got into the role of a Gators fan to stump for the 8-3 team to make the College Football Playoff.

ESPN's Mike & Mike is having fans submit short videos explaining why their favorite team should be in the College Football Playoff. We assume most of the entrants are coming from schools like Washington, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Michigan--teams that are actually in contention for one of the four coveted spots. Danny Kanell, however, took things in another direction.

Kanell, a former Florida State quarterback, got into character as a Florida fan/SEC homer, and submitted a video explaining why Florida, which is currently 8-3 and set to face Alabama in the SEC Championship, should be in the field. We especially like his assertion that teams like Michigan and Ohio State don't play defense.

We're sure Gator fans will love the former 'Nole star's characterization here.

Florida remained at No. 15 in the most recent College Football Playoff rankings, despite a loss to Kanell's Seminoles last Saturday. Even with a win over Alabama, there doesn't seem like a real path for Jim McElwain's team to crash the party.
