Dick Vitale Is "Amazed" By Florida Forward Chris Walker's Decision To Enter The NBA Draft

Chris Walker's entry into the NBA Draft is pretty confusing, at least at first glance. Walker, once one of the nation's top recruits, missed much of his freshman season due to eligibility issues, and averaged just 4.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in 14.6 minutes for the Gators as a sophomore. According to Jeff Goodman, Walker's departure wasn't his own choice, but that hasn't stopped people, including former Gator star Patric Young, from taking shots at the move. On Saturday, ESPN broadcaster Dick Vitale shared his thoughts on Twitter, and is not at all impressed by the decision.

It does seem like Walker could've used at least another year in Gainesville to work on his game, but we don't know everything about the situation, so it is hard to make an informed judgment. Walker's draft stock seems tenuous, but he was a top recruit for a reason, and NBA teams are willing to take a shot on a talented player if they believe he can develop.
