Florida C John Egbunu Out For Season After Tearing ACL

Florida center John Egbunu is out for the season after tearing his ACL.

Egbunu suffered a season-ending torn ACL in his left knee during last night's 114-92 win over Auburn. He had scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds before getting hurt.

Florida announced the news this afternoon. He will miss roughly one year.

Egbunu averaged 7.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game this season.

The Gators are currently 21-5 and a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but Egbunu's injury could have a devastating effect.
