The Florida Gators had every reason to celebrate after taking down the Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday night.
Playing in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014, the Florida Gators are headed to the Sweet 16. They punched their ticket last night with a dominating win over Virginia in which they held the Cavaliers to just 39 points. Senior Justin Leon and junior Devin Robinson led the way with 14 points a piece, each shooting 50 percent from behind the arc in the 65-39 victory.
Obviously, the rout was cause for celebration, and the Gators did just that. Head coach Mike White also gives a pretty good speech at the end. “It’s not the Super Bowl,” he says, “we’ve got plenty of weeks left.”

At least for now, though, the Gators can relish the win.
Next up for Florida is matchup against No. 8 seed Wisconsin on March 24, after the Badgers upset No. 1 overall seed Villanova on Saturday. An Elite Eight berth is very, very possible with the way this team is playing right now.
