ESPN, which is one of the four major recruiting services, published its most notable recruiting list for the class of 2018 for the first time today. Here is how the rankings shook out for each of the each of the ranked players joining the Florida Gators next year. Three of Florida’s six players made the ESPN300:
Four-star S C.J. Smith (West Palm Beach, FL)

Four-star CB Divaad Wilson (Miami, FL)
Rank: No. 264
Four-star ATH Iverson Clement (Mount Holly, NJ)
Rank: No. 275
Florida has somewhat quietly won the SEC East twice in a row to start Jim McElwain’s tenure, and the Gators are looking to take the next step to compete with some of the powers from the West. So far, the Gators have verbal commitments from six players in the class of 2018, half of whom made the first edition of the ESPN300.
Florida’s class is currently ranked No. 4 in the SEC and No. 20 in the country, per 247Sports.
