SEC and Pac-12 teams don't play each other too often. When they do though, the games can be competitive thrillers.

According to a report, it looks like a rare SEC-Pac-12 game has been scheduled, and it's not a neutral-site contest.

Florida and Utah will play in a home-and-home series starting in 2022, per GatorSports.com's Pat Dooley. The first game will be played in Gainesville.

In 2023, Florida will head way out west to play the Utes in Salt Lake City.

Both Florida and Utah are known for their dominant defenses. On the other side of the ball, both teams have typically struggled to find an offensive identity. Obviously, there's still a few years until the teams will play. But nonetheless, this series will feature some entertaining football.

This year, there's been two very exciting games between Pac-12 and SEC schools. In week one, Auburn knocked off Oregon with a late touchdown in a comeback victory for the Tigers. This past Saturday, Cal narrowly escaped SEC territory with a win over Ole Miss.

If the Florida-Utah series is anything like the Auburn-Oregon and Cal-Ole Miss games, then college football fans are in for a treat.

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the series is that it's not a neutral site game. While neutral-site games are typically played in impressive venues, they tend to lack the true spirit of college football. But this series will be played in both team's home stadium.
