The Florida Gators head north this weekend for their annual SEC showdown with the Kentucky Wildcats. But this year’s game has a little more juice to it than years past.
Last year Kentucky stunned Florida in Gainesville, snapping a 32-game losing streak against the Gators. The Wildcats would finish the season with a 10-3 record, their best in decades.
After serving as a springboard for the Wildcats’ great season, the Gators will no doubt be looking to return the favor at Kroger Field in Lexington.
But despite being the host and coming off a big season, the sports books seem fairly confident that Florida will get the job done.
Here are the details for the Florida-Kentucky game:
Game Time: 7:00 PM ET
Spread: Florida -8.5
Announcers: Steve Levy, Brian Griese, Todd McShay
Florida and Kentucky head into the game with identical 2-0 records, but the Gators have the more impressive wins. They beat Miami in Week 0 and followed that up with a 45-0 blowout of UT-Martin.
The Wildcats will have their hands full as they try to make it back-to-back wins against Florida for the first time since the 1970s.
Will Florida leave Lexington with a 3-0 record, or will Kentucky score yet another upset against the Gators?
