In his first season in Gainesville, Dan Mullen established a winning culture for Florida. While the 9-3 record wasn’t enough to earn them a spot in the College Football Playoff, the Gators earned themselves one of the best bowl games available.
The Gators finished the season with a blowout victory over Florida State.
Following all the chaos that occurred during the conference championships, the playoff rankings gave them the No. 10 spot in the entire country. It guaranteed them a chance to play in a New Year’s Six bowl.
Well, it turns out that Florida will play Michigan in the Peach Bowl. This will add another chapter to the history between these two programs.

The Wolverines are looking to put their loss to Ohio State in the rearview mirror, and also reach 11 wins for the first time since 2011.
If Feleipe Franks can continue his recent success, the Gators should be able to match Shea Patterson and the Wolverines’ offense.
Congratulations to Florida and Michigan on great seasons, as this showdown should be tremendous.
