Florida coaches Jim McElwain and Mike White both received extensions and raises on Friday.

Florida head football coach Jim McElwain and basketball head coach Mike White are set to receive significant bonuses as well as contract extensions, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Following a shocking Elite Eight run for the Gators, White is set to receive a one-year extension that will take him through the 2022-2023 season, and a raise of $800,00 through the remainder of his deal.

He'll make around $2.9 million annually by the end of his deal.

McEwlain, who has led the Gators to two consecutive SEC East titles, will receive a one-year extension through the 2022 season and a $200,000 raise putting his annual compensation at around $4.5 million.

Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin released a statement about the news.

“Both Coach Mac and Coach White have done a phenomenal job of leading our programs and we are looking forward to having them lead the Gators for years to come. As much as both have won games and provided a lot of great memories for our fans and stability for the programs they lead, they have both had a huge impact on the development and personal growth of the athletes they coach.”

McElwain is now the fifth-highest paid coach in the SEC, behind Alabama's Nick Saban, Texas A&M's Kevin Sumlin, Auburn's Gus Malzahn and Ole Miss' Hugh Freeze.
