Week 6 of the college football season is in the books. With its conclusion, ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit has unveiled his top five teams of the week.

His list includes two teams from the Pac-12 and one each from the SEC, ACC and AAC. Here's Herbstreit's top five teams:

  1. Florida Gators
  2. Cincinnati Bearcats
  3. Stanford Cardinal
  4. Virginia Tech Hokies
  5. Oregon State Beavers

All five teams had impressive victories over the weekend. But none was more impressive than Florida's dominant win over Auburn. The Gators dialed up constant defensive pressure, slowing down the explosive Tigers offense. Florida won the game 24-13, propelling the Gators to No. 7 in the AP Poll.

Coming in at No. 2 in Herbstreit's ranking, Cincinnati pulled of the weekend's most surprising upset. The Bearcats also relied upon their stout defensive front, holding the UCF Knights to just 24 points. The Bearcats managed to put 27 on the board themselves en route to an impressive win.

Stanford hasn't had the start to its season it was expecting. But the Cardinal took down Washington in a 23-13 win. With the victory, the Cardinal are shockingly now in second place in the Pac-12 North division.

Virginia Tech gave up a 21-point lead to Miami in the second-half on Saturday. But the Hokies strung together an impressive drive late in the fourth quarter leading to a touchdown with just over a minute remaining. The defense did its job, and Virginia Tech held on to win 42-35.

Lastly, the Oregon State Beavers thumped Chip Kelly's UCLA team, 48-31.
