Story: The Tennessee Volunteers earned their sixth consecutive win as they defeated the No. 8 Florida Gators, 64-58.

Florida took an early lead but the passionate crowd at Thompson Boling Arena motivated the Volunteers to take command of the game.

Tennessee held Florida's starting guards to 10-of-30 attempts from the field. The Vols also held the Gators to their fewest points scored all season.

Junior guard Jordan McRae continued his late-season stretch for success against Florida. Not only did he lead the Vols in points (27), he also led in assists (4), steals (2), and blocks (2). The rest of Tennessee's team scored a combined 37 points.

Tennessee Head Coach Cuonzo Martin is now 3-0 against Billy Donovan and the Florida Gators. Though Coach Martin is excited about the win, he's aware the season isn't over.

"We can celebrate tonight, then do everything in our power to beat a very talented Georgia team," Martin said in his post-game press conference.

With this win, Tennessee improves to a record of 13-3 in the month of February. The Vols battle Georgia on March 2nd.
