Earlier this week, Florida sophomore Chris Walker, who was one of the highest-rated recruits in the entire 2013 class, left the program after just two years, despite averaging just 4.7 points per game this past season. Walker, who seems to have worn out his welcome in Gainesville, is not expected to be taken in this June's NBA Draft.
This apparently amuses his former teammate, Patric Young, who took to Twitter Friday afternoon to express how he feels about the situation. Young, retweeting a post by sports anchor Dan Hicken, basically laughed at the fact that Walker likely won't play in the NBA or Europe.
It's an odd tweet, especially when you consider that Young himself plays in Turkey.
Perhaps this gives us some insight into Walker's relationship with his teammates during his short stay on campus. Or perhaps he and Young just never really hit it off. Either way, it's a sad ending to what was supposed to be a great story.
