Report: Florida's Billy Donovan Hired As New Oklahoma City Thunder Coach

Update: Wojnarowski is now also reporting that Donovan is headed to Oklahoma City. It's a done deal.

Earlier:According to Oklahoma's News9.com, the Oklahoma City Thunder have found their next head coach - former Florida headman Billy Donovan. Donovan spent 19 seasons in Florida, winning two national championships in 14 NCAA Tournament appearances. He also spent two years at Marshall before taking the job with the Gators. This will be his first gig as an NBA head coach.

Donovan, who racked up over 500 victories in his collegiate career, inherits an incredibly talented Thunder team that just missed the playoffs this past season. 

According to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski, the two sides are still finalizing a "multi-year" deal.

This isn't the first time Donovan has strongly considered making the jump to the NBA. Back in 2007, Donovan accepted an offer to coach the Orlando Magic before changing his mind and heading back to Florida. There's no word yet on when he'll be introduced as coach.
