Reports: Florida Forward Chris Walker Is Leaving The Program

Chris Walker, a one-time five-star recruit who struggled through two seasons at Florida, is leaving the Gators program, according to multiple reports. The news was originally broken by Scout's Evan Daniels and later confirmed by ESPN's Jeff Borzello.

The 6-foot-10 Walker was the nation's No.2 power forward and No. 7 overall player in the 2013 recruiting class, per 247Sports' Composite Rankings. A McDonald's All-American, he played just 4.8 minutes per game as a freshman in 2013-14.

Last season, Walker played in 31 games, making six starts and averaged just 4.7 points and 3.5 rebounds over 14.6 minutes per contest. He shot 53.8 percent from the field but only 38.6 percent from the free-throw line.
