Video: Florida Football Honors Sick Boy With A Heartwarming Visit To Gainesville, Gators' Facility

ESPN's "My Wish" program is probably the best thing that the World Wide Leader in Sports does. The network, in partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, grants a child with an illness their sports dream.

Florida, in great fashion, has taken after ESPN.

During the weekend of their season opener, the Gators brought Gavin Lambert, a young boy with Friedreich's Ataxia--a debilitating, life-shortening, degenerative neuro-muscular disease--to Gainesville. Florida made Gavin their honorary captain for their contest against Idaho and showed him around the facility.

Give this video a watch (keep some tissues close by):

Florida's game against Idaho was, of course, rained out. But it's nice to see that the Gators could still get something good done that day. Nice job, Florida.

The Gators host Kentucky this Saturday.
