The upcoming college football season is likely a make it-or-break it one for Will Muschamp.
The Florida program had a pretty rough 2013. The Gators went 4-8, the first losing season in Gainesville, Fla. since 1979. Florida went 3-5 in the SEC, giving Muschamp two seasons with a losing record in the conference, becoming the first Gators’ coach to do so since the 1950s. The 2013 campaign also included a defeat to Georgia Southern, an FCS team.
Will 2014 be better? It’ll probably have to for Muschamp to keep his job. Florida is expected to be improved come fall, though. The Gators are a likely preseason top 25 team and an outside contender to win the SEC East, behind South Carolina and Georgia.
The 2014 season begins on Aug. 30 for Florida, when the Gators take on Idaho. This hype video should have Florida fans ready for “vengeance” until then:
