Will Muschamp: Jeff Driskel Will Start At QB vs. LSU, Did Not Make Decision On Starter Before Treon Harris Was Suspended

It's official: Jeff Driskel will be back under center for Florida on Saturday when the Gators host SEC rival LSU. Driskel -- who has started every game at quarterback for Florida this season -- was pulled last week for freshman Treon Harris during the team's 10-9 win over Tennessee.

Harris was under center for both of Florida's scoring drives against the Volunteers. He was expected to compete for and possibly win the starting job this week, but he was indefinitely suspended on Monday. The freshman is being investigated for a sexual assault on Florida's campus that allegedly happened over the weekend.

According to Gators head coach Will Muschamp, the decision on who would start against LSU was not made until after Harris was suspended.

The Gators and Tigers will square off in Gainesville on Saturday. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 P.M., and it will air on the SEC Network.
